What people are saying about Coach Brock Armstrong:

photo of JennaWorking with Brock has been a life-changing experience. When I first signed on with Skywalker Fitness, I had vague goals and was a pretty average athlete. 2 years later I have completed 3 triathlons and achieved PB records in every distance from the 5k to half-marathon. My proudest moment was placing third in my age group at a local Toronto Women’s Run – something I never would have dreamed of a few years ago. These achievements would not have been possible if it weren’t for the constant support, guidance and motivation of Coach Brock. From training, nutrition, mental health and strategy, Coach Brock takes care of his every aspect of his athlete’s training. There’s no one like him!· Jenna Pettinato – Community Outreach and Communications Coordinator at Canada Running Series

photo of StephanieTraining with Brock has changed my life. When we first met, I was a new athlete hoping to just cross the finish line of my first race, and now I’m preparing for my first half ironman, thanks to him. I love his holistic approach to training, nutrition and mental health. He makes you believe in yourself and push your limits. I wouldn’t be where I am today without his unconditional support and mentorship.· Stephanie McAulay – Life Enthusiast, Coordinator at Good Works Co

The [Lightening Talk] that has changed my life the most was in fact not the winning talk, it was Brock Armstrong’s talk on Fitness for Software Nerds. I know I am not the only person who now has a trash can on my desk where my laptop sits in lieu of an expensive standing desk. · Mark Littlewood – Business of Software

photo of AshleyCoach Brock worked with me even though I was by no means an elite athlete. That being said, he definitely treated me like I could be! Brock supported me to be the stronger, faster, healthier version of myself and did it in a fun way. He encouraged me to run my first marathon and then helped me get there – and feel good afterwards. Not only is he great with the physical training, but he’s also keenly aware that the mental game plays a big part in our physical development as well. Brock’s been one of my greatest supports in my journey of losing nearly 100 pounds in the last 4 years.· Ashley Jacobsen

photo of DanI’ve known Brock for a number of years before I started using him as my coach and he’s always been generous with any information and help he could provide with my training. I knew when I was going to delve into the world of triathlons that I wanted Brock on my team. My schedules are customized with my all my races in mind, providing challenging and fun workouts and with the eventual goal of IMC 2014. I look forward to many more workouts to come.· Dan Murray – IT Manager

photo of SheenaWorking with Brock was a highlight of the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco. His knowledge of running; life experiences and the wonderful way he inspires his athlete gave me the motivation and inspiration for me to be the best I could be as well. The entire TNT team from Calgary loved when Brock and I were co-coaches at Nike. They were very relaxed and were able to ask him anything. That’s important on raceday! I’m looking forward to working with Brock again in seasons to come.· Sheena Denscombe – Owner, Health Matters Fitness, Inc.

photo of CharlesMy relationship with Brock started back in 2009 when I signed up with Team In Training to do the Country Music Marathon in Nashville, having only ever ran a 10km and a off road triathlon. It was his first season coaching, though you never would’ve have known with how he interacted with everyone and the wealth of knowledge he possessed. From the start he just had a way of settling whatever nerves were bothering you and surprise yourself with what you were capable of. The thing that will always stick with me is from the country music marathon. That year there was this bad storm front that blew in with tornado warnings that forced the race officials to close the course. I was diverted at 4 1/2 hrs in but only 20 1/2 miles (32.5 km) down. I was devastated. Brock heard what happened and was calling me before I even had sat down at the Team In Training tent. He helped me see the bright side of the situation and understand that it wasn’t all for naught. He helped me train for my next marathon, 5 months later, and finish the whole thing in the same time it had taken to do the 20.5 miles in Nashville. He is a great coach and I’m proud to say even better friend.· Charles Lefebvre
